UMBC Jazz students present a recital concert in the Shortline at7 PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
The discussion will focus on “Finding Hope for Our Future” based on the work of Steve Phillips, a best selling author, civil rights lawyer and social activist on Friday, May 10 from 10 AM – Noon in the Fireside Art Gallery.

The Charlestown Administration is initiating Coffee with Administration socials in May 2024. They are planning to hold them monthly at different times for Continuing Care residents and their families.
The 2024 Summer Solstice Spectacular takes place Friday, June 14, 2024 from 4 – 9 PM. There will be live music by the Capital Effect, many activities for the family and food trucks.
Charlestown resident Ed Appel will review “The Secret Life of John le Carré” by Adam Sisman [New York: Harper, 2023] on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in the Auditorium. This is his review that appears in the May 2024 edition of The Sunburst.
