Pink Dot Sale Ends, Boutique Is Ready for Fall
Shoppers who have put off shopping for those last-minute summer bargains better scoot over to The Ladies’ Boutique… the end-of-season Pink Dot ends on Tuesday. Lots of white and light-weight pants remain on the sale racks, along with a limited selection of other steamy-weather items.
The shop also is welcoming fall with an array of spectacular fall goodies at great prices, and shoppers looking for cooler weather items will find the racks and shelves just loaded with tops, jackets and dresses in warm fall colors.
Ravens fans will find a sprinkling of purple and black throughout the shop, with a season-opening “purple event” scheduled for September 8.
The Ladies’ Boutique is located on the terrace level of Herbert’s Run, and is open on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. We’d love it if you’d help us support the environment by bringing your own bag!

Proceeds from the Treasure Sale and Treasure Sale outlet stores support the Benevolent Care Fund, Chapel Concerts, Scholar’s Fund, Staff Appreciation Fund, the Film and Book Libraries and other community needs. The Treasure Sale accepts donations from residents of Independent Learning of clean, gently used clothing, furniture, small household items, electronics, and appliances throughout the year except 2 weeks preceding and 1 week following each quarterly Treasure Sale. See schedule below for exact dates. Please consult the Treasure Sale Donations List for more details on acceptable items. Note: We are no longer allowed to pickup or sell walkers or rollators.
To donate items, please call the Treasure Sale Pickup line: 410-737-8838, x601-8124. When you call the pickup line, you will hear a message requesting that you give your name, apartment location, phone number, and a brief description of the items you will be donating. A volunteer will get back to you to arrange for a pickup. Please allow 48 hours for a return call, especially if you call on Thursday evening through the weekend. For donation of large items such as furniture, please contact Treasures Sale Furniture Director, resident Howie Nixon, to arrange for approval and a scheduled pickup. Email is preferred. The Treasure Sale retail stores are open year round.
