Erickson Advantage® is a Medicare Advantage Plan offered by United HealthCare Insurance Company, a Medicare Advantage organization with a Medicare contract. Not available in all areas. Only available to Erickson Community residents. Limitations, co-payments, and coinsurance may apply.
Erickson Advantage® is a health insurance plan that helps Erickson community residents manage their healthcare and maximize their Medicare benefits. The plan offers multiple health insurance plan options designed with the needs of our residents in mind. The plans place a strong emphasis on preventive care and wellness and offer you a range of preventive programs and vaccinations that may help you manage health problems before they occur.
In addition to enhanced benefits compared to original Medicare, members have access to an onsite team of healthcare experts. Of course, it starts with the physicians in the community Medical Center, but members also have access to an on-site Nurse Care Coordinator to help assist with hospitalizations, medical procedures and prescription drug questions. There is also an onsite Member Services Representative to answer benefit and health insurance questions, to help with arranging doctor’s appointments, and to arrange for transportation to medical appointments.
Other plan highlights include: Transportation to approved off-site medical facilities, preventive dental coverage, skilled nursing care without prior hospitalization required, and much more.

Many residents have Medicare and Medicare supplemental insurance. Erickson Advantage is a form of Medicare supplemental insurance offered by United Healthcare. The next open enrollment period for Erickson Advantage supplemental plan begins October 15.
Although there are no strings attached to join the Erickson Advantage plan, you and your family may want to listen carefully to specific benefits that are available for Charlestown residents in both Independent Living and Continuing Care.
