Most residents are aware of the goals and objectives of the Residents’ Association and the Residents’ Council. These residents contribute the annual voluntary dues of $2.00 or more to support the Council. However, newer residents may not be aware that all residents are automatically members of the Association and Independent Living and Assisted Living residents elect Council members to represent them within the Charlestown community.

Three brainstorming sessions were held between February 25 and March 2. A total of 44 residents attended with 19 Residents’ Council members (a couple attended more than one time) and friends serving as helpers.
Some ideas were repeated in each session and by multiple small groups in each session. Those multiple responses are indicated with asterixis. It goes without saying that ideas without multiple ‘stars’ are not without merit.
