Birds of Charlestown, as of March 2025
This bird list consists of bird sightings on the Charlestown campus since the beginning of the Nature Trail Committee (1995) until the updating of this document in 2025. The waterfowl were primarily sighted near Lake Charles, while others were sighted in the forest, at resident bird feeders, and on other developed parts of the campus. Some of the birds are year-round residents, while others are migratory, and still others are only occasionally seen. The list is certainly incomplete.172 species
