Charlestown Pet Group Meeting Minutes 1/24/2023

 The meeting was opened at 11:12 am by David Elder, Chair. 24 members were in attendance.  There were no minutes from the October meeting.

Old Business:

*Paradise Animal Hospital has suspended visits due to lack of appointments. A show of hands indicated only a few people interested in seeing Paradise here at Charlestown.  A suggestion was made to perhaps have them come less frequently, maybe twice a year.  This can be investigated. If you are interested in seeing Paradise at Charlestown for your dog, contact David Elder.
*David and Otto maintain the list of Pet owners and pets. The list is sorted by building. It shows the building representative. They rely on us to keep the list current.  If you have a change in your home, or know of a change for anyone else, please let Otto Greul.

  • * We need a volunteer to be the group representative for Brookside. If interested, please contact David Elder.

New Business:

*Next Cat Clinic with Catonsville Cat Clinic: March 10 Call the Cat Clinic for an appointment – 410-869-0800
*Carolyn Troy will be the new Secretary for the Pet Group.
*Thanks to Sandy Greul for many years of service in this position.
*Please pick up after your dog. We could lose the privilege of having pets if owners are not conscientious.
*As always, if you have need of any help in taking care of your pet, it is advised to contact other pet owners in your area to see if they can help.
*Items are collected for donation to shelters. If you have any items for donation, bring them to the next meeting or contact Elsie Kemp or Otto Greul.
*The Maryland Pet Gazette is now only digital. You can access it at marylandpetgazette.com
*The group has 166 humans, 126 cats, 71 dogs, 3 birds, a rabbit and a lizard. Please let Otto know when a resident gets a new pet or loses one.
