Welcome to all members of the Charlestown Pet Group! I would like to remind us of our next Pet Group Meeting on:

Tuesday MARCH 26th, @ 11 AM in the [REVISED] CROSS CREEK CARDROOM!

This change will remain in effect for the Month of March 2024.

I have attached the February Minutes of the Pet Group for approval @ the March meeting. We have several items to mention, including:

The Maryland SPCA has provided us with a list of donations they are in need of. Additionally, there are certain items they do NOT want: No Catnip Toys,
***NO MEDICATIONS, DOG BOWLS, CATNIP, PILLOWS OR SHEETS PLEASE***

2024 Cat Clinics are Scheduled for Fridays 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM on: 03/22/2024, 05/31/2024 (CANCELLED), 06/28/2024, 08/23/2024, 10/4/2024 & 12/13/2024 in the Cross Creek Craft Room.

UPDATE:

Reaction of our Pet Dogs to various Sidewalk Treatments recently applied here @ Charlestown. Over ½ dozen of our Dog Owners commented.
UPDATE #1: Administration has notified us that the contract with the CURRENT Grounds Contractor, RUPERT, will be ending.
UPDATE #2: The Contract with RUPURT has been renewed for 2025.
UPDATE #3: I spoke briefly with Courtney Baker, [Grounds] this week and he may be able to make some changes it the distribution of some of the De-Icing agents. Liquid application of Brine may be used in some areas to reduce the Chunks of Rocksalt. I also invited him to speak briefly @ one of our meetings prior to next winter.

We are continuing discussions on the possibility of a Mobile Vet, Cat Nail Trimming Clinic and a Mobile Dog Groomer visiting Charlestown. Comments are appreciated.
