To keep safe while out driving, make sure that you look around when exiting or entering your vehicle. It’s best to travel with others, in daylight, to places you know are usually safe, like malls and shopping centers. If you see persons or groups you think are suspicious, stay in your locked vehicle and call 911. If you are returning to your car, try to avoid individuals who are standing around or who appear to be following you. If you are robbed, do not try to fight, refuse to comply or hide your goods. They can be replaced – you can’t. Baltimore County Police have a very good record of both protecting us from robbers and solving crimes when they occur.
