TAPESTRY
Fostering relationships and Creating Community at Charlestown

The TAPESTRY team was formed in the Fall of 2022. Our purpose was simply to help residents connect with each other in meaningful ways. We recognized that our health and wellbeing depend on having a web of relationships that hold and anchor us. We also recognized that the mere fact of living here and being surrounded by people from morning to night does not make us immune to a sense of isolation and loneliness.

Thus, TAPESTRY began with an invitation to gather around tables in the Conference Center for 90 minutes of conversation hosted by members of our team. Since that launch, we have hosted 9 gatherings around the campus with a total of 450 participants. At every gathering, we continue to learn the same thing: A little bit of deep connection goes a long way!

This Fall we will begin a series of topic-focused gatherings. Our first topic will encourage us to share our experiences of this pilgrimage through the last third of our lives.
