The packets were ready. Residents’ Council members were set to stuff the cubbies. Then came COVID-19!

As is the custom each year, last April, the Residents’ Council was all set to deliver a dues collection packet to the cubby of each resident in independent living.  Then the shutdown to keep us safe made the dues collection process impossible. Now, however, with the shutdown easing, the dues collection campaign has been rescheduled for October. Expect a dues collection packet in your cubby on or about October 1.

In the larger envelope of the packet, you will find a smaller envelope in which to return your dues and a letter with instructions for doing so. The letter also lists some important goals of the Residents’ Association, which it works to achieve through the Residents’ Council. These include promoting the health, comfort, and safety of Charlestown’s residents and working with management to improve services for residents and to control expenses.  Dues of just $2.00 per resident support the work of the Council.

The Residents’ Council is grateful for all the support it receives from residents through their service on its 12 committees and otherwise and for the cooperation the Council gets from the administration.
