Meeting Frequency & Location
The semi annual meetings are now scheduled for the Charlestown Square Gallery at 11:00 am-noon on April 25, 2023 and October 17, 2023. Other meetings as needed.
The Maryland Continuing Care Residents Association has a Chapter at Charlestown. MaCCRA is the only organization which is solely dedicated to protecting and advancing the interests of residents of continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs). We support, empower, and better the lives of residents in Maryland’s continuing care retirement communities through advocacy and education. Charlestown becomes the 18th chapter in Maryland. Membership is $20 per year for an individual and $30 for a couple. The membership year is July to July.

Our guest speaker is Ms.Shycoff, Division Chief, Continuing Care of the MD Department of Aging. She is responsible for regulatory oversight of continuing care organizations in Maryland and will discuss oversight in 4 areas: financial health, contract compliance, disclosure of information and accurate marketing.
