Meeting Frequency & Location
The semi annual meetings are now scheduled for the Charlestown Square Gallery at 11:00 am-noon on April 25, 2023 and October 17, 2023. Other meetings as needed.
The Maryland Continuing Care Residents Association has a Chapter at Charlestown. MaCCRA is the only organization which is solely dedicated to protecting and advancing the interests of residents of continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs). We support, empower, and better the lives of residents in Maryland’s continuing care retirement communities through advocacy and education. Charlestown becomes the 18th chapter in Maryland. Membership is $20 per year for an individual and $30 for a couple. The membership year is July to July.

			MaCCRA is affiliated with the National Continuing Care Residents Association (NaCCRA). Membership is $25 per year for an individual and $45 for a couple. The website is naccra.com

Catherine Kirk Robins, Deputy Director of the Maryland Citizens’ Health Initiative, Maryland Citizens’ Health Initiative, will be the speaker. She will be talking about the 2020 Prescription Drug Affordability Statewide, Regional, & Local Coalition. MaCCRA, along with 385 endorsers, has signed a resolution in support of their efforts.
The Maryland General Assembly ended its work on March 18. MaCCRA members receive legislative updates through email.
We invite non-MaCCRA members to join the meeting. MaCCRA is the only statewide organization representing the interests of CCRC residents.
