At present, our meetings consist of informal discussions during which we share, listen, and learn. We are also beginning to plan or support other activities such as Charlestown’s Gay Pride Celebration.

ELLIC class Transgender 101

Instructor Dr. Kate Drabinski is Principal Lecturer in Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies at UMBC. She teaches courses on sexuality, gender, and political activism.
ELLIC Class They Told Me They’re Gay…Now What?
It takes a lot of courage for our children, grandchildren, friends, and family to tell us they are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or something else. Join Dr. Kate Drabinski for a workshop about how to negotiate the many feelings that come with “coming out” and learn how to support our loved ones and each other through this process. (See Dr. Drabinski’s bio above).
