Windows 11 Compatibility Check
Date: Wednesday, July 23rd
Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Outside the Terrace Café
Purpose: Two members of the CCI IT Team will be available to check residents’ devices for Windows 11 compatibility.
Residents are encouraged to bring their laptops so we can perform a quick compatibility check. If a device is compatible, we’ll assist in creating a work order to schedule the upgrade.
For residents with desktop computers, we offer free in-apartment appointments to check compatibility. However, please note:
The upgrade itself is a billable service.
If a resident decides to proceed with the upgrade during the appointment, it will be considered a billable session.
Residents are not required to upgrade immediately after the compatibility check.
Additional Opportunity: – August 13th Tech Bar
At our next Tech Bar event on Tuesday, August 13th, we will also have a Compatibility Check Table available. This table will be specifically for residents who were unable to attend the July event. Please note that upgrades scheduled from this event will also be billable, even though Tech Bar follow-ups are typically free.
We’re aiming to check as many devices & upgrade as many as possible from these events to help phase out older, unsupported systems. Once Microsoft ends support for Windows 10, we will no longer be able to support those devices on our network due to security risks, similar to our current policy for Windows 7. We are hoping for a great turnout!
