OPEN AUDITIONS:

AUDITORIUM

OPENINGS: Singers for solos, duets and chorus; narrators for key parts of Gershwin’s life; actors to interpret figures in Gershwin’s life; dancers.

ACTORS / NARRATORS – Selected for the ability to project voice and expression

SINGERS – Evaluated for tone and voice placement
An accompanist will be there and singers are asked to sing a song from the show. The show songs are: Someone to Watch Over Me; They Can’t Take That Away from Me; Summertime; Somebody Loves Me; Let’s Call the Whole Thing Off; Our Love Is Here to Stay; A Foggy Day; and Bess You Is My Woman. You can listen to songs by searching online. Please do not bring a song to the audition that is not in the show. To get music for an audition song, call Pat Fagan. DANCERS
Betsy Baer, show choreographer, has prepared an easy Charleston routine for dancers to follow. Dance auditions will be held the final 30 minutes of audition times. Call Betsy for information. Contact information can be found in the Resident Directory, available online in MyErickson.

MUSICIANS
Need for drummers, guitarists and possibly other instrumental musicians.

ACCEPTING A ROLE IS A COMMITMENT TO REHEARSAL SCHEDULE AND FOUR PERFORMANCES.

Rehearsals begin on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 2 PM in the Auditorium.
