Disc golf is played much like golf rules, except players toss flying discs, similar to frisbees, into raised metal baskets arranged around a course. The Professional Golf Disc Association provides an excellent introduction to the sport on their webpage. Here you will also find some links to YouTube videos on how to play. There are many health and social benefits to the sport and the game can provide enjoyment for a wide age-range of participants.
Recently, the Fitness Center purchased disc golf equipment and staff members set up a six-basket course. If you would like to play, follow the steps listed below:
• Contact the Fitness Center for directions on how to keep score.
• Go to the lobby desk in Charlestown Square to sign out the key to open the cabinet to retrieve the frisbees.
• The frisbees are stored in the white outdoor cabinet with the bocce balls, located near the bocce ball court.
• There are six disc golf baskets set up behind the bocce ball court.
• Remember to return the discs to the cabinet and the key to the CTS lobby desk when you are finished playing.
