USB-C is a recent standard for cable connections that is compatible with a lot of current computers and smart devices. It is used on most new Windows and Android computers and devices sold today. It is also compatible and interchangeable with the Thunderbolt cables and connectors used with Mac computers. It is currently in use on some iPad models, and according to rumors, it will be adopted by iPhone 15 models coming later in 2023.. It has the capability to replace HDMI in the future, but that remains to be settled.
