Old Business
Intermissions is located in Caton Ridge, room CR-302, and would love to have a visit by a dog or cat.  Call first to make arrangements by calling Violet at 443-297-3500.  They are open from 9:30 to 2:30 daily.  Intermission is a structured person-centered program that enhances cognition, socialization, and engagement for those who have some memory loss.

New Business
Elsie asked me to explain to the group that after the May Sunburst everyone will be limited to 275 words and less if a picture is included.  Therefore, the amount of pet information she can print will be quite limited.

Resident Life is currently updating all resident’s Responsible Update Form.  Make sure your pet information is correct on the form.  Also, everyone should make sure that their Authorization for Entry to Living Unit has been completed to allow selected family members to access their apartment when needed.  With the original Pet Registration form containing the emergency contact list, and the above data, there should be sufficient data to contact the family in a pet emergency.

Katie Flory of the SPCA was called to pick up the items that have been donated.  She volunteered to come and speak to our group about pet ownership by the elderly.  They need towels and all pet supplies and equipment. She will be here for our meeting on May 24th.  She may bring a dog with her.

Doctor Pam Nesbit of the Catonsville Cat Clinic will be here next on 6/17.  To make an appointment call her office at 410-869-0800.

Paradise Animal Hospital has asked to reduce their visits here to every other month due to the few appointments they are receiving.  They will be here on 5/19 and 7/21.  Call the office to make an appointment at 410-744-4224.

There are 108 cats, 68 dogs, 3 birds, a rabbit, and a lizard in the pet group.  But there is no way to know when a resident gets a new pet or loses one unless they let us know.

The meeting was closed at 11:40   THE NEXT MEETING IS May 24th 2022, always on the 4th Tuesday at 11AM in BR Class Rm2.
