The Charlestown Jazz Club resumes its concert series in the Shortline Cafe on July 10 at 7 PM.
The featured performers will be Maureen McCusker on vocals, saxophone and flute and Stephane Oshry on piano. Both have extensive experience as performers over several decades in the Baltimore and Washington, DC area.
McCusker has performed with the Peabody Ragtime ensemble over a 30 year period. She recently retired after a long career as a music teacher in Ann Arundel County. Among the groups that Oshry has played with are the UMBC alumni band, City Jazz Giants and the all-women quartet, She-Bop.
The concert is free but free will donations will be accepted and appreciated by the performers. The Shortline Cafe has seating for about 100 so early arrival is encouraged and no additional seating will be provided.
