Travelog 7 by Julie Helms. Ullapool, Scotland may be small in size, but its heart for being civic-minded and environmentally friendly is big.

In this sixth installment of her Travelog, Julie Helms takes us to the Orkney Islands where the North Sea clashes with the Atlantic Ocean and where every period of human history is evident – from the Neolithic Age to Medieval days to WWII to the 21st century.

The Vikings are the subject of another lecture on Norway where Julie Helms learns that the Vikings were more than fierce plunderers, but hearty, daring, courageous, and ingenious. They also left us some beautiful reminders of their artistic talents.
