New School Academy, supported by the Charlestown-Sandtown Connection is having a school supplies drive running August 14 -18. On Friday, August 18 between 10 AM – 2 PM collection tables will be set up in Terrace ,and Fireside Lounges and Cross Creek Lobby.
Second Hand Rose’s creations will be on view for purchase in the Shortline Cafe display case for the month of August, 2023.

Meditative Moments is a series of short nature videos set to music by Charlestown resident Betty Caldwell, from photographs that she has taken. She developed the series as a way to share her sense of connection with the awe and beauty of nature. Other Charlestown residents have also contributed their work to this series. Residents’ feedback has indicated that the videos provide a sense of calm through the beauty of nature.
The Residents’ Council Communications Committee ran its Communications Survey from April 1 to May 5, 2023. 573 responses were received. This was the third of these surveys, as earlier ones were run in 2014 and 2019. We were looking to see how communications preferences and available methods have changed over time.
