Boutique’s Holiday Bonanza Starts on Election Day

The post-Treasure Sale re-opening of Charlestown’s Ladies’ Boutique on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2026 (don’t forget to vote!) will be an unofficial kickoff to the countdown to the holidays.

The shop is absolutely brimming with colorful, casual sweaters, turtlenecks, and tops, all perfect for our coming chilly weather.  And whether you’re looking for that special something to wear for Christmas Dinner at your cousin’s home or The Atrium, a colorful sweater in red or green with a touch of holiday art (kitschy or classy), cozy sleepwear, or a like-new or brand new accessory for a friend or female relative, this is the place to start your holiday shopping!

If, like me, you’ve been eyeing a wonderful Baggallini bag online (with prices ranging from over $50. to more than $125.), a fabulous dressy Chico’s cardigan, a sweet little outerwear vest, or a dress for that very special Christmas party, the Boutique is a terrific (and wise) place to begin your search.  You may find exactly what you’re looking for … at a price that will make you smile … and what a nice look for you!!

Thanks to generous upmarket donations, wise selection and vetting, and some creative displays by manager Peggy Romenesko and her volunteer staff, the Boutique only gets better with the passage of time.  It’s not unusual to find a wonderful new collection of items from some terrific label or another, an influx of items in an interesting color palette, or several complementary brand-new items on the shop’s shelves and racks.  There is almost always a gorgeous array of handbags in a wide range of colors and styles as well as a colorful selection of scarves … both of which make great gifts.  The shop carries a limited choice of carefully selected jewelry to complement your purchase, and the well-loved (and safe) Gift Card is always available.
