CC Families and visitors,

We wanted to inform you of an uptick in gastrointestinal (GI) related illnesses within our community. To protect the health and well-being of all residents and staff, we ask that if you or anyone in your family is experiencing any GI symptoms (such as nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea), please stay home until you are symptom-free for at least 72 hours. This is to help prevent any potential spread of illness.

In addition, we want to emphasize the importance of proper hygiene. Hand washing is the most effective method of preventing the spread of GI illnesses. Please ensure that you thoroughly wash hands before and after arriving at CC, especially after using the restroom and before meals. Please note that hand sanitizer is not as effective in killing many of the germs that cause GI illnesses, so handwashing with soap and water is crucial.

Your cooperation in staying home while experiencing symptoms will greatly contribute to maintaining a healthy environment for everyone. We appreciate your understanding and support in keeping our community safe.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter.

Warm regards,
Max Mendelzon
Director of Continuing Care
