Annual Elevator Inspections: July 22 – August 4, 2026
Charlestown will be conducting our annual elevator inspections beginning Wednesday, July 22, 2026, through Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
These inspections are required to ensure the continued safe and reliable operation of our elevators and will be performed in coordination with our elevator maintenance contractor, elevator consulting firm, life safety vendor, and Charlestown Facilities team.
As each elevator is scheduled for inspection, our in-house team will post signage in advance to notify residents that the elevator will be temporarily removed from service. Inspection times will vary depending on the scope of testing and any follow-up evaluations required.
During this inspection period, residents should expect intermittent elevator outages throughout the day. We encourage everyone to allow additional travel time and, when possible, use alternate elevators if one is temporarily unavailable.
