One of the reasons you probably moved to Charlestown was for safety in your later years. Our Security Emergency Staff is here for you. SES’s goal is to react quickly to any emergency you may have, whether you fall, have a sudden illness, need an ambulance, there is a major water leak, or you have locked yourself out of your apartment.
The SES can only help you if you contact the department. We can’t emphasize enough that the best, fastest, most convenient way to do that is by wearing your emergency pendant at all times so you can press the button for help. The pendant is your secure line to the SES and immediate help. You may have your cell phone with you and you may have it on speed dial or have Apple Watch that detects a fall, but why not use the most direct method, your safety pendant.
We know there are Residents who think that they will not have an emergency because they are active and mobile, but accidents happen, as we all know. There is also the possibility that you may be the only one with a pendant when someone else has an accident or a sudden illness. Hopefully, that will never happen but you will be the one prepared.
