From:
David Elder, Pet Group Chair.
Welcome to all members of the Charlestown Pet Group! We have many new items I would like to bring to your attention:
First, I would like to remind us of our upcoming October 25 Pet Group Meeting @ 11 AM in Brookside Classroom #2.
I have attached a copy of the September 2022 Meeting minutes for approval at the October meeting.
Second, The Charlestown Pet Group needs a new Secretary.
Sandy Greul has served for many years and is now unable to continue. We thank her for her service.
Third, we MUST remind dog owners of the need to police their dog when outside on campus. We have received PHOTOGRAPHIC evidence of Dog Droppings ON a sidewalk by the building 7 courtyard entrance. It is VERY important to notify any dog walkers of the need to clean up as well.
Fourth, Dr. Nesbit of the Catonsville Cat clinic is coming on November 18th. Call her office for an appointment 410-869-0800.
Fifth, a reminder that the Paradise veterinarians [Dog Clinics] have postponed their visits here for the rest of the year due to lack of appointments being scheduled. Since they have to schedule a three-hour block of appointments for us, if no one schedules, the vet has no patients during that time. Comments?
Six, a reminder that The Local Resources List contains a listing for a mobile vet and other services here on site. The list can be sent to you by email. Someone has asked about allowing the Pretti Pet Mobile Salon to hold scheduled clinics for dog grooming on campus. I would like comment before further investigation.
Seventh: A question has been raised by Beverly Simpson : She has a dog walker who is interested in seeing if anyone here at Charlestown is interested in him walking their dog. He is considered a contractor here a t Charlestown and has a special sticker for his car. He has been walking my dog for over a year and everything has worked out really well.
Finally, Please don’t forget our next Pet Group Meeting on Tuesday October 25 @ 11 AM in Brookside Classroom #2.
