Otto Greul, the Pet Group Registrar, opened the meeting at 11am.
Nine members were in attendance.
Dr. Nesbit, the cat doctor who comes to Charlestown, will be here on December 17th, January 14th, and February 11th.
Paradise Animal Hospital will be here on December 16th, January 20th, and February 17th. There have been very few appointments made here at Charlestown. None in November and only 1 so far for December. Due to the CVS renovation the room for the appointments will be in classroom CTS216 which is near the Fireside restaurant bar and the pool table area. We will return to the Art room on the first floor when the renovations are complete.
At a previous meeting someone asked about printed data we had previously handed out. The Maryland Pet Gazette delivered 200 copies of the 2019-2020 (final) printed edition. They also gave us Pet Emergency Infocards. There are copies in back for you. We will also deliver a copy to all Pet Group member’s cubby in the near future. They also have material available on line at www.mdpetgazette.com .
Stephanie DeAbreu, a member of our group, offered to provide transportation for anyone who is unable to take their pet to the vet. Her number is 410-314-9624.
It was decided not to make 180 copies of the meeting minutes and the manpower to distribute them but instead to mail them to those in attendance at the meetings and to email to members we have an email for. It will also be posted on the resident web site ccicharlestown.org/clubs/pet
The group has 109 cats, 73 dogs, 3 birds, a rabbit, and a lizard. But there is no way to know when a resident gets a new pet or loses one unless they let us know.
Since we do not meet in December THE NEXT MEETING IS January 25, 2022, always on the 4th Tuesday.
