Charlestown Pet Group
Meeting Minutes March 22, 2022

The meeting was opened at 11:00 am by the Chair, David Elder. Seventeen members were in attendance. Minutes of the February meeting were approved as emailed.

Old Business
It is imperative that all pet owners read and follow the rules as stated in the Resident’s Handbook Appendix E. The book clearly says “Pets must be on a leash or in a cage at all times when outside your apartment and should never be allowed to run free” either inside or outdoors.

New Business
“Intermissions” will be at the Fireside Restaurant area On March 23rd with a small supply of dog treats.

Maury Getz’s cat, Kitty Kat, who lives in Brookside 132 escaped from the apartment. Maury called David Elder, Chair of The Charlestown Pet Group and asked for assistance.
David called Gregory Johnson, Charlestown Communications Manager and asked him to place an ad on 972 to help locate Kitty Kat. Tom Moore and his staff decided to help and found the cat on a patio by the Brookside parking lot. It was truly a Mission Moment.

A person from Lucky Cat Rescue contacted Otto and asked if there was any interest in feral cat adoption. If you are interested information is available at luckycatrescue.com.
Doctor Pam Nesbit of the Catonsville Cat Clinic will be here on 4/8, and 5/20. To make an appointment call her office at 410-869-0800.

Paradise Animal Hospital has asked to reduce their visits here to every other month due to the few appointments they are receiving. They will be here on 5/19 and 7/21. Call the office to make an appointment at 410-744-4224.

The group has 108 cats, 68 dogs, 3 birds, a rabbit, and a lizard. But there is no way to know when a resident gets a new pet or loses one unless they let Otto know.
The meeting was closed at 11:40

THE NEXT MEETING IS April 26, 2022, always on the 4th Tuesday, at 11 AM in Brookside Classroom 2.
