The Fireside Gallery Artist of the Month for December is Jody Primoff. Growing up in Ithaca, N.Y., Jody enjoyed the free Saturday art classes at Munson-Williams- Proctor Institute. After graduating from Syracuse University, Jody continued her art studies at the Art Students League in New York City, while also working for a publisher.
Her watercolor landscapes reveal her love of nature and particularly the complex structure of trees. Jody is an inventive experimenter; her works vary from realism to multi-media abstraction. Her work has been represented by galleries in the Catskills, on the Eastern Shore, and in her suburban locale.
