This film portrays the lives of several LGBTQ+ older adults and the challenges they faced as they planned for the later stages of their lives. The movie will be followed by an informal discussion beginning at about 8 PM about our lives at Charlestown and how we might support members of the LGBTQ+ community. Some questions we will address are: How might we more effectively support the needs of the LGBTQ+ community at Charlestown? Would the greater community benefit from learning more about the LGBTQ+ community? How could we do that?
Also, watch for more information about the CNN and the Human Rights Campaign Foundation announcement that there will be a Democratic presidential town hall event focused on LGBTQ+ issues.
