Pet Lovers Association of Charlestown

Charlestown welcomes pets and the participation of pet owners and all pet lovers. Pet owners should register pets upon arrival in order to receive information about local veterinarians, groomers, and other services. This group is dedicated to responsible pet ownership and resident support.

Cross Creek Craft Room is closed for renovations. During this time, the cat clinic will be held in Charlestown Square Arts Room. on June 21 and July 19, 2019. Don’t forget that, even though it is a clinic, an appointment must be made in advance with Dr. Nesbit at 410-869-0880.

Pet Lovers Collect for MD SPCA April 1 – 5

The Pet Lovers Association of Charlestown is sponsoring a drive to collect supplies and donations for Maryland SPCA. Collection dates, times and locations:


  April 1   11 AM – 6:30 PM   Chesapeake/Shortline
  April 2   4 – 6:30 PM   Atrium
  April 3   11 AM – 6:30 PM   Fireside
  April 4   2:30 – 6:30 PM   Refectory
  April 5   8 AM – 6:30 PM   Terrace

The following items are needed.

Pet Food: Canned or dry dog and cat food; soft dog treats.
Pot Toys: Toys for cats and dogs; empty toilet paper rolls; scratch pads for cats.
Pet Care: Scoopable kitty litter; fleece material and washable blankets; puppy pads; latex exam gloves.
Laundry/Dishes for Pets: Dish washing gloves; paper towels; large and scrubbing sponges; towels; plastic measuring cups.

The SPCA cannot accept donations of medication, pillows, sheets, catnip, or dog bowls. Financial donations can be made by checks payable to Maryland SPCA.
