Journal Club/Discussion Group

A resident’s group has formed to hold discussions based on articles from journals, magazines, and newspapers that examine subjects from any given discipline or from any area of particular interest to the individual participant. The group meets three times per month; one meeting with an open format, one meeting focuses on racism and incipient bias, and one meeting examines a topic selected in advance by the group to be led by one volunteer from the group. Topics vary from cutting edge research in the wide range of the sciences to those based on free approaches to any field of human experience, inquiry, or endeavor. The goal is to generate a robust conversation and exchanging ideas among the members.
