PHONE A FRIEND CHALLENGE
Remember the show “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” that aired from 1999 – 2002, then spent 17 years in syndication?
Contestants would get stuck on a particular question and needed help by calling a friend on the telephone (referred as using a lifeline before giving “their final answer”. The friend was given 30 seconds to provide input before the call is cut off.

During these uncertain times, it is essential to stay connected in one form or another. Many residents choose to do this electronically, while others may enjoy the good “old fashioned” way, using the telephone. Perhaps there are some residents that you know of who live alone and have limited family members and no access to this technology. Ever think of “phoning that friend” (even if it’s your neighbor down the hall that you’ve waved to and smiled at for years, yet never spoke to) just to check-in and say “hi”.

Here’s the Challenge – Call at least 3 residents daily whom you normally do not interact with who might enjoy hearing a friendly voice on the other end of the phone. Who knows, you might brighten their day or maybe even your own all while making new friends! (Remember only use the numbers that are listed in the Resident Directoryl).

EARTH DAY 2020
Earth Day, April 22, was founded in 1970 by Gaylord Nelson, a United States Senator from <,2 AP\\'” Wisconsin. Senator Nelson developed the idea for a national day to focus on the environment after the 1969 oil spill in Santa Barbara, California. He wanted the public to participate in a day of study (teach-in) and demonstrations on behalf of the environment.

Did you know that more than 1 billion people in 192 countries celebrate Earth Day?
While our efforts to practice environmental stewardship have been compromised due to necessary prioritization in response to COVID19, we can all still participate in Earth Day and make an impact! You can enroll in paperless billing and invoices.

You can turn off the lights and appliances you are not actively using. And once this pandemic has passed, we look forward to getting back on track with our community wide efforts!

Planting is also a fun way to take part in Earth Day, and we would like to help you enjoy watching some blooms growl If interested, please call 601- 8133 by Friday, April 24th and the following week we will provide you with a container, some soil, and seeds to grow in your window!
