Holiday Hours:

The Atrium, Refectory and Fireside will be open for brunch from 10:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. The Chesapeake and the Shortline will be open for dinner from 4:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. For hours of operation for the Terrace Cafe, please consult the posted hours prior to each holiday. The Atrium Dining Room offers breakfast only on Christmas Day 9: a.m. – 12 p.m.

Meal Plan Changes

Two meal plans are offered. The Monthly Plan offers one meal for each day of the month. The 20 Meal Plan includes 20 meals in the month and a $62 credit per month on the monthly bill. A meal plan can be changed to the 20 Meal Plan or be changed back to Monthly Meal plan quarterly in January, April, July, and October. The Change of Plan form is available in the Administration, Dining, or Finance offices. It must be completed by the 25th of the month prior to the start of the quarter. 

Coffee with the Managers

Join the dining room managers once a month to learn about what’s happening in your dining room as well as talk about your issues and concerns. (Printable Monthly Schedule)

Atrium

  • 1st Monday of every month.

Chesapeake & Shortline

  •  2nd Monday of every month
  • Held in Chesapeake Dining Room at 10:00 a.m.

 Fireside

  •  1st Tuesday of every month
  • Held in the Fireside Pub Area at 2:00 p.m.

Refectory & Terrace

  • 2nd Tuesday of every month
  • Held in Refectory Dining Room at 11 a.m.

 Dress Code for the Dining Rooms

Restaurant Dress Code In the Atrium, Chesapeake, Fireside and Refectory Dining Rooms, residents, guests and visitors should not wear shorts, halter tops, or tube tops. However, presentable shorts are permitted in the Shortline Café and Terrace Café. We request individuals not wear hats while in the restaurant unless needed for medical or cultural reasons. The dress code does not apply to children under the age of eleven. Please note our staff does not “police” the dress code in the dining rooms, but we do request that all residents self-monitor their attire. (Please refer to the Resident Handbook, pp. 41-42)
