Below is the list of topics I have taken the responsibility to maintain and update periodically or when timely. I submit them after first sending them to Managers to alter or add before re-submitting them to reappear in the Sunburst or our website.

1. Need Something Fixed or Repaired? Updated General Services contact instructions are on our website with the current hours under General Services Communications. A posting was in the November Sunburst, advising residents to call the Computer Services phone for Internet issues.

2. Reoccurring Opportunities for Voicing Concerns: Found listed under the above in Campus Info>Getting Things Done and New Residents. All info is now under review, and the next posting will be whenever these types of gatherings will convene again. In the meantime, there is a stream-lined version of existing events on the website and the Council Communication Form icon on our website can be used at any time to alert the Council to a problem. Also, the Administration is welcoming comments, and to send them to ccifeedback@erickson.com

3. Resident Directory Info: The Hard-copy version is currently under re-construction, which includes the e-directory. A short directive in the Blog Section of our website by entering the subject in the “Search” block. The recent hard-copy Resident Directory, including the e-copy, was issued last month. Changes should be directed to the Res. Life Asst., Scarlette Coleman at Ext. 601-8230. Also, your ME includes a 12/20 message from Brittany explaining how to make changes to your listing.

4. Swift Reach: The latest version is on the website on the Home page, at the bottom left, under the Alert Line info, shown in Blue and includes Swift 911. There is a red Emergency Info icon on the website Home Page that opens to include this info also. The full article, including photos, was in the October Sunburst. A new AlertMedia System will replace this next year, but all info should be carried over at that time.

5.BCF: Resident Crafters raised $4970 for Benevolent Care during Holiday Craft Sale on Dec. 3. K&J $7 sale was on 12/17, proceeds are still being apportioned. Cannoli Sale 12/22- $292, thank you, Sally Didomenico!
The Holiday Display Case – has earned $1,161 so far (open until the 12/30). Treasure stores are open at regularly scheduled hours. Treasure Sales collections have incrementally begun. Still no schedule for actual Treasure Sales.

6. Community Resources: ME now has a universal search option, located at the top with the italic spyglass, with the caveat that it will not open PDFs. Any Constructive suggestions should be directed to Rose Sands. Rose continues to ask Groups/Clubs to confirm their current meeting rooms and times, to help complete the 2022 issue of Groups/Clubs. And she asks Council Committees to continue to urge their members and others to add photos to their ME profiles. The CCI website has directions for this under “Tech Help”. Congrats to Stephanie Knowles on her engagement to marry in April!

7. Medical Center: Get Boosted! Booster vaccines are still available at the Med.Center. It is strongly suggested that masks be worn outside the apartment as much as possible. Masks are still required in certain settings, including the Medical Center and crowds of over 30 people, and in buffet lines at dinner. Get your Annual Wellness visit. Sign up for the Care Path Program, even though you may have your own doctor off-campus, in case of emergencies. Check CC visitation restrictions before you go there.

8. Move-out Process at End of Life: Found permanently on our website in the Blog area. The article, including the need for an “Authorization for Entry to Living Unit” form, was approved by Finance and was published in the October Sunburst. A similar Transition Process article was in the November Sunburst and now posted on our resident website.

9. Housekeeping has suspended resident apartment cleaning service until further notice to concentrate on public spaces due to staff shortages. Home Support Services want to remind residents that they can help with laundry, pet care, and meal delivery services among the many other services offered as shown on our website under Home Support. Look for new commercial with highlighting of staff and services in the new year.

Extras: Visitors, Vendors, and Staff should all be masked. Dining buffets at restaurants continue into January, but remember to wear your mask while in line. It would be wise to expect staff shortages in the upcoming weeks due to Covid. IL sales are above target for the year to replenish our capacity. GS reminds us to have precise Apartment numbers and building names, especially, on our address label on all orders to be delivered. Looking forward to Clara returning healthy on Jan.10.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
